Reactive Moderation allows admins to review any post that has been reported by a user, or has been automatically reported due to the use of keywords specified by the admin.
If you would like to proactively moderate every post before it is published, take a look at Proactive Moderation.
Users can report posts they find inappropriate by clicking on the 3 dots menu at the top right corner of the post and selecting “Report this post”
Global Admins can also automate certain moderation by setting up keywords they wish to be alerted to. This can be done by setting up a Worker Bee. To learn more about Worker Bees, click here.
If anything is reported, either by a user or by the system, it will appear in the Moderation Inbox. This Inbox is accessible for Global Admins, Org Unit Admins, Location Admins, Stream Admins and Content Moderators. They can review the post and make a decision to either remove or approve it.
Please note that the reported post becomes invisible for users the moment it is deleted by an admin in the moderation inbox.
If you wish to view previously moderated posts, click the “History” tab. You will be alerted to a new item in your Moderation Inbox when a red dot appears on the bell at the top right corner of your Dashboard.
When a post or comment of a user is deleted, the user receives a message letting them know. If you’d prefer users not to receive an automated message, a Global Admin can follow these steps:
-
Go to the dashboard
-
Click ‘Settings’ in the menu on the left hand side
-
Click ‘Feature flags’
-
Uncheck the box next to ‘Send chat messages to users when moderating or removing posts or comments’
