Creating Polls

Polls are a great way to get coworkers interacting with the app. A Poll is a functionality within a post in a stream which can be created by anyone. Polls allow you to ask a group of people a question and provide them with a choice of answers to vote on. Only one question can be formulated. The poll is shown as a post to the users who have access to the stream where the poll was posted.  

To create a poll:

1. Begin a post as normal with a title and brief description containing the question you’d like to ask your fellow coworkers
2. Click the “Poll” button
3. Provide as many answer options as you’d like
4. Recommended: include images to make the poll more visually appealing, as well as labels to make it easily searchable for others
5. Click “Post Now"

To view the poll results, simply click the down arrow to the top right of the poll and select “Download poll results.” This will download an Excel file containing all of the information. 

The results can be downloaded to aggregate the feedback once everyone who wanted to contribute has answered. For the creator of the poll this means that they should indicate the timeframe in which the results of the poll will be taken into consideration. Poll results can be downloaded by Global Admins, Stream Admins, Stream Moderators (if enabled) and the author of the post.

When moving posts to another stream, poll results will be transferred as well.

It is not possible to anonymize the results for one poll. However, the “Anonymize” function can be turned on for the whole app, so that every poll is anonymized. If you are interested, please use the link below to submit your request.
