Worker Bees are messages that are automatically triggered by an action or event in the platform. Examples of triggers are: the first time a user logs in, when a user has written a specific number of posts, when a user has collected a specific number of likes on their posts etc.
This short video will show you and example of how to set up a sequence of Worker Bee messages for a new starter in the organization:
Add a Worker Bee:
Step 1: Access the Dashboard
- Login to Beekeeper on a desktop computer
- Click the “speedometer” icon on the right-hand side of the top navigation bar to go to the Dashboard:
Step 2: Set up a new Worker Bee
- Click the “Engagement” tab on the left, then the “Worker Bees” sub-tab
- Click “+Add Worker Bee”
- Select the group of users you want to target
- Click “Create Worker Bee”
Step 3: Name your Worker Bee and set up triggers
- Type a name for your Worker Bee
- Click “+Select Trigger”
- Select one of the triggers and set the value, then click “Select”
- Click “+Add Action”
- Select the action you want the Worker Bee to trigger
Step 4: Write a message
- Enter the subject line of your Worker Bee message and write your text - use the placeholders to make it more personal
- Attach an image or video to draw people in or a document to provide further information (attachment size maximum 10mb)
Step 5: Schedule your Worker Bee and save
- Select your preferred time delay between the trigger and the action
- Click “Add”
- “Save”
When you are done, activate the Worker Bee. You can activate or deactivate your Worker Bees as needed.
