We strongly advise organizations to allow commenting and reacting as this gives employees the possibility to provide feedback or express feelings on certain topics. Giving employees a voice boosts engagement through the app.
However, you do have the option to disable commenting and/or reactions. Reactions can be disabled for each individual post. Commenting on posts can be disabled for each post individually or for all posts in a given stream by default.
Disable commenting or reacting for one post:
- Go to the post you want to control
- Click on the three dots on the top right of the post
- Choose Disable Commenting or Disable Reacting
The post will now show a small lock icon. No user will be able to comment on this post.
Disable commenting for all posts in a specified stream by default:
- Go to the Streams tab in the Dashboard.
- Select the stream you want to control
- In the General tab, navigate to the Default Comment Permission section
- Choose Disable Commenting
- Hit the Save button
Please note: Disabling comments for the whole stream only applies to new posts.
Warning: No user will be able to comment on posts in this stream anymore.
