Chat Admin in Smart Group Chat

When a Smart Group Chat is created, all group admins are automatically assigned the chat admin role.

If the group has no group admins, no one is assigned as chat admin — in that case, the role can be claimed by anyone.

If there is no other way, as a workaround, a global admin can remove the current chat admin from the group in the Dashboard for a moment to be able to claim the chat admin role for themselves.

Please note that the powers of chat admins are limited in smart group chats. They cannot add or remove users from the chat (that’s managed via the group in Dashboard). They can still edit the chat’s name, icon, and description and assigning/removing chat admin rights.
