Send Birthday & Anniversary In-App Messages (Using Zapier)

You can send birthday/event chats to users on Beekeeper via Zapier.

To do this, follow these steps:

1. Create an 'Anniversary' or 'Birthday' bot account in the Beekeeper Dashboard 
   • Create your bot account
   • Make sure to assign the bot admin permissions
     
     
     
2. If not yet created, add Birthday and/or Anniversary Profile Fields in Beekeeper
   • Dashboard > Settings > Profile Fields
   • Make visible to 'Everyone'
     
     
3. Create a Zapier Account
   • Visit Zapier's website here
     
     
4. Set up a Zapier Trigger
   
   • For Profile Field, use field created in Step 2
   • Select Trigger Event "Anniversary" (same for both Anniversary and Birthday - this just refers to using a date profile field)
     
   • Select the Beekeeper account: use the access code for the Bot Account created in Step 1
     
   • Set up trigger
     
     
     
5. Create a Zapier Action
   
   
   • Select Action Event: "Send Message to User(Chats 2.0) in Beekeeper"
     
   • Select the Beekeeper account: use the access code for the Bot Account created in Step 1
     
   • Set up the action by selecting user's ID variable as Recipient and customising Message Text
     
   • Recommended: Create a test user in your Beekeeper account, and make the user's birthday/anniversary date today's date. That user will populate as a test user at this step, and you will then be able to trigger a test to see if the chat message is working correctly.
