File type restrictions within Beekeeper app

Beekeeper provides users with the capability to upload, share or attach files in various features within the product, such as:

• Streams
• Chats
• Campaigns
• Document Library
• Workflows
• Tasks
• Shortcuts
• Forms
• Surveys
• Shifts
• User Uploads

It is currently by intention that there is no restriction on file types except for the Document Library (white list below), and Shifts and User Uploads (restricted to xlsx / csv). This is to allow maximum flexibility for our customers when it comes to using the product and sharing information. However, there are many file types that can be easily exploited by adversaries to misuse Beekeeper to spread malicious content among users (e.g.  .exe, .bat or .cmd). Anti-virus scans are in place to reduce the risk of malicious content in such files.

For the Document Library feature, an allow-list for file uploads is following:
