When a Beekeeper user downloads a file from the Beekeeper iOS or Android App (for example an attached file from Posts, Chats, Shortcuts or from the Documents Library), that file is stored in the Beekeeper app's private directory (also known as ‘App Sandbox’), meaning that no other app has access to it.
On Android, in order to preview a stored PDF file, the Beekeeper app will grant temporary access rights to the app that is associated with PDF files, such as a PDF reader. This may require additional software on the Android that is capable of opening such PDF files.
On iOS, the Beekeeper app uses the iOS-provided QuickLook library to preview documents.
Beekeeper Web is different as a PDF file can be opened immediately in all supported browsers for Beekeeper as per the capability of the browser itself, and the file is stored (temporarily or permanently) on the local storage of the device.
