How Secure and Private is Beekeeper?

Beekeeper fully adheres to GDPR standards, ensuring a secure communication platform that safeguards both employee and client data.

ISO 27001 Compliance

Beekeeper AG's Product and Services organization is ISO 27001 certified, as are all data centers hosting Beekeeper services.

Beekeeper Mobile App

The Beekeeper app securely stores your company account information on your mobile device without accessing any other accounts. To share photos via Beekeeper, you must grant permission for file access, but only the photos you select will be shared. Beekeeper does not have access to your location, contacts, calendar, or any other private data.

Images displayed in Beekeeper are not automatically saved to your phone, though you can manually store them if desired. If you choose to take a photo or video within the app, Beekeeper will request access to your camera and, for videos, your microphone. These permissions are only activated when you specifically choose to capture media within the app.

Privacy of chats

Your chat messages are private and protected by Data Protection, Privacy, and Communication regulations. No one, including your employer, can read your messages unless there is a serious legal obligation or misconduct that necessitates it. In such cases, access can only be granted in accordance with statutory regulations.

Your Profile

Administrators have the ability to update your profile fields and picture, but should only do so with valid reasons and will inform you of any changes.

Your Posts and Comments

Administrators cannot modify content that they did not create but can delete posts or add labels as necessary.
