It is recommended to suspend users, rather than delete them. Deleted users’ posts will remain in the streams though their name will be changed to “Deleted User” and their profile picture will disappear. A suspended users’ post, however, will remain the same though the user will no longer have access to the app.
Also, the deletion of a user will also have an effect on existing survey results. If a user is deleted after the survey has been sent to them, this may cause the reported number of users who have responded to differ from the actual number of responses. This is because the deleted user will not be included in the report showing the total number of responses, however, their response will still be available.
Please note that suspended or deleted users do not count in the total number of licenses on your account.
To suspend a user:
- From the Dashboard, select the “Users & Groups” tab
- Select the “Users” subtab
- Click on the desired user
- At the top of the profile, click the “Suspend user…” button
- Click “OK”
To reactivate a user:
- From the Dashboard, select the “Users & Groups” tab
- Select the “Users” subtab
- To the top right corner, click the “All users” drop-down menu and select “Suspended”
- Click on the desired user
- Click the “Activate user…” button
- Click “OK”
To suspend users in bulk, you can use an Excel/CSV upload, or automate it through an SFTP sync or Marketplace integration (see more about user management options here.)
