About the eduMe Integration
eduMe is a mobile training platform designed for frontline workers. The Beekeeper eduMe Marketplace App lets you connect eduMe courses to Beekeeper, where you can share them via a widget on the home screen or notify users about new courses through chat messages.
Key Features
eduMe widget on the Home Screen
Use the eduMe widget to deliver courses directly on the Beekeeper home screen. Users can access their assigned courses in eduMe without needing to log in again.
You can set the widget name in the eduMe dashboard. Reach out to your Beekeeper Customer Success Manager to configure the widget position on the home screen or change the visibility of the widget (to specific group or location).
Course Notifications in Chat
Notify users about new courses directly in Beekeeper chats with links to the content. Set this up by going to the course in eduMe, navigating to the Delivery tab, and selecting Set up delivery to choose the recipients and timing.
How to Set Up the eduMe Integration
Requirements
- Beekeeper Global Admin rights
- eduMe licence or account
1. Install the eduMe Marketplace App in Beekeeper
a. Go to Extensions > Marketplace in Beekeeper.
b. Search for “eduMe”
c. Click Connect (or “Request” on the eduMe detail page).
d. Coordinate with your Customer Success Manager to:
- Place the widget on the home screen
- Set widget visibility (for all users, or limited to specific groups or locations)
e. You can create groups in Beekeeper if needed and all the groups will be visible in eduMe once the configuration is complete. You can use these groups to deliver courses.
2. Retrieve the eduMe App Bot Token
- Go to Extensions > Bot Accounts in Beekeeper.
- Find the eduMe App Bot and copy the token (you’ll need this for the eduMe configuration).
3. Create an eduMe account
If you already have an account you can skip this step.
If you don’t have an eduMe account yet, please contact your Customer Success Manager at eduMe or reach out to support@edume.com to request account creation.
4. Add Beekeeper as a 3rd Party Integration in eduMe
- In the eduMe dashboard, go Settings > 3rd Party Integration, then select Beekeeper.
- Fill out the following details for the integration:
- Beekeeper tenant URL (e.g.: teams.us.beekeeper.io)
- Bot authorization token (from step 2.)
- Widget title (eg.: “Trainings”)
- Save your changes
5. Create and Assign Courses in eduMe
Once the setup is complete, you can create courses in eduMe and assign them to specific groups. Assigned courses will appear in the eduMe widget on Beekeeper’s home screen.
To notify users about new courses via chat, select Beekeeper as the delivery method in eduMe. Users will receive a direct message with the course link.
You can find more details on the eduMe Help Center.
Troubleshooting
The widget shows an error in Beekeeper
If the widget displays an error, complete the configuration in the eduMe dashboard as outlined above (step 4.). Once setup is complete, the widget will update with the title and any assigned courses.
No courses are visible in the eduMe widget
Courses are visible only to assigned users. If no courses appear, contact your eduMe admin to ensure they’re assigned to you in the eduMe dashboard.
Beekeeper groups are not showing in the eduMe dashboard
Check that groups are created in Beekeeper and that Beekeeper is added as a 3rd Party Integration in eduMe. If groups are still missing, contact eduMe support at support@edume.com.
