How do I make sure my content is prioritized as important and displayed on Home? 

By pinning a post in any stream it will remain in the Pinned Post widget on the home screen until it is unpinned.

The News & Updates widget also offers couple of options that you can leverage to deliver content to your team: 

1) Mention relevant people in your Post - the people mentioned will see the post in their News & Updates section

2) Ask users to activate notifications for certain Streams - all Posts from a Stream that a user has enabled notifications on will be shown in the News & Updates section
