Slideshows

Slideshows are a great way to display posts from the app in areas where employees congregate and spend time to raise awareness and increase the visibility of the platform. This way you can ensure posts with important information reach employees who might not check their mobiles for posts regularly.

You can use slideshows to display selected posts in a loop, similar to a photo reel.

Create a Slideshow:

From Engagement Tab

1. Login to Beekeeper on a desktop computer
2. Click the “speedometer” icon on the right-hand side of the top navigation bar to go to the Dashboard:
   
3. Click the “Engagement” tab on the left, then the “Slideshows” sub-tab
4. Click “+Add Slideshow”
5. Set up your slideshow and click “Next”
6. Drag and drop the posts you want to show from suggested posts, favorites or simply search for specific posts.
7. Click “Next” and review the Slideshow
8. “Save”

From the Stream Tab

1. Login to Beekeeper on a desktop computer
2. Click the “speedometer” icon on the right-hand side of the top navigation bar to go to the Dashboard:
   
3. Click the “Streams” tab on the left, then the “Streams” sub-tab.
4. Pick a stream from which you want to create a slideshow.
5. Select "Slideshow” tab.
6. Set up your slideshow and click “Copy” to open the slideshow in a new window.

Display a Slideshow:

1. Go to “Slideshows” in the “Engagement” tab
2. Choose the Slideshow you want to display and click on it
3. Go to the preview tab and copy the URL
4.  Paste the URL into any web browser to display this specific slideshow

Customize a Slideshow

The Slideshow can be customized via URL extensions. The respective suffix, as listed below, should be added at the end of the URL. The examples given below can be used alone or in combination with each other to make more than one customization. To combine extensions you just replace the "? in the second extension with &. For example "?font-size=24&limit=10"

"?font-size=24" determines the font size
"?limit=10" determines the number of posts shown in the sequence 
"?delay=10000" determines the duration of each post - the minimum is 5000 (=5 seconds) 

Delete a Slideshow:

1. Go to “Slideshows” in the “Engagement” tab
2. Choose the Slideshow you want to delete
3. Click on the gear icon and select “Delete Slideshow”
4. “Delete”

Once you have saved your slideshow you can modify it by clicking on the pencil icon next to it. You will be redirected to the page where you can pick your content. You can also limit the number of posts displayed in a slideshow. Add ?limit=10 to the URL to limit it to 10 posts.

Display a Slideshow on a Smart TV with an internet browser:

1. Paste the URL of the slideshow into the browser
2. Go to the full screen view
3. Enjoy the slideshow

You only need to set the Slideshow up once as it will automatically update itself.

Display a Slideshow using a Chromebox:

1. Contact the Beekeeper Customer Success Team to order your pre-programmed Chromebox.
2. Plug it in to the HDMI slot of your TV.
3. Enjoy the slideshow
