Feature Flags Settings

The Feature Flag section allows Global Admins to turn certain functionalities on/off for their app.  The current feature flags available are: 

• Allow users to edit the email address in the settings
• Allow users to edit the mobile phone number in the settings
• Enable users to add polls to their posts
• Allow users to edit the username in the settings
• Send chat messages to users when moderating or removing posts or comments Read more
• Enable location/group based visibility in User directory and Chat Read more

Allow users to edit the email address in the settings

When the flag is enabled, it permits users to edit their email address in "Profile and Settings" > "Account":

When the flag is enabled, it permits users to change their username in "Profile and Settings" > "Account":

Best Practice: Allowing users to change their username may create confusion among users and admins. When users are able to change their "username" it may make it harder to track user behavior in the platform. It is recommended to keep it disabled to ensure that every user has a unique "username" as a consistent identifier.
