Setting Objectives
Being clear about the goals you are trying to achieve by implementing Beekeeper will help you:
- Align the team and wider organization around the purpose of using Beekeeper
- Measure success and benefit to the business
A commonly used framework for objective setting is SMART:
- Specific - what result will you deliver?
- Measurable - how will you measure progress and track outcomes?
- Achievable - is it reasonable to think you could achieve the goal?
- Relevant - is the goal linked to your overall business goal? Is it worthwhile?
- Timebound - when must the goal be achieved by and what is driving that deadline?
Examples of SMART objectives:
- Employee engagement survey score improved from XX% to XX% ‘satisfied or very satisfied’ in Q3 survey
- Staff turnover reduced from XX% to X% by MM/YYYY
- Customer ratings improved by XX% by MM/YYYY
- % of unmanned shifts reduced from X% to X% by MM/YYYY

- Activation rate: the percentage of created users who become active (log in at least once)
Next, you’ll want to know who keeps on using it:
- Daily Active Users: Active in the last 24 hours
- Monthly Active Users: Active in the last 30 days
- Stickiness: Percentage of your Monthly Active users who were also active in the last 24 hours
Goals for activation and usage could look something like this:
- Activation rate: Hit 80% Activation 6 months after the first rollout
- Stickiness: Have 60% Stickiness 6 months after the first rollout
