Overview
The Wallet/Employee QR Code feature allows administrators to provide employees with digital identification or benefit cards directly within the app. Whether it's an employee ID, a meal discount code, or a loyalty program link, employees can access their personalized QR code or barcode card instantly via the "Employee Experience" dashboard.
Key Features
- Displays the employee’s full name and profile photo.
- Supports both QR codes and a wide range of barcode formats (e.g., EAN13, CODE128).
- Admins can customize titles, descriptions, text colors, and background colors (including gradients).
- Automatically pulls code values from a designated user profile field, ensuring up-to-date information for every employee.
Setup & Administration
This feature is managed by platform administrators via the Employee Experience dashboard.
1. Prerequisite: User Profile Field
Before creating a card, ensure a dedicated profile field is set up in the user directory to store the card values:
- Type: Text
- Visibility: "User only" (not modifiable by the user)
2. Creating/updating a Card
- Navigate to the Employee Experience dashboard in your admin back-office.
- Click on the entry for Wallet (or the respective widget entry).
- Add/update a card by clicking “Add card” or “Modify” on the card settings
- Fill out the configuration form:
- Title: The main text displayed at the top of the card.
- Description: Optional text to provide context.
- Display Settings: Toggle the visibility of the user's name and profile photo.
- Code Profile Field: Select the profile field that contains the code value to be displayed.
- Code Type: Choose between QR Code or Bar Code.
- If Bar Code is selected, choose the specific format (e.g., CODE128, EAN13) and toggle whether to display the numeric value below the barcode.
- Design: Use the color pickers to customize text and background colors (gradients are supported by selecting two colors).
3. User Experience
- Access: Employees can find their cards by clicking the Wallet/QR Code icon on the homepage or via the "My Portal" widget.
- Empty State: If an employee has no cards assigned or the relevant profile field is empty, the card will be hidden, and a "Nothing in your wallet yet" message will be shown.
