Chat Admins are not really a role as such in the platform, but rather a role a user may be assigned on an ad hoc basis in specific group chats.
Assigning a group chat admin on your desktop:
- Click into the group chat
- Click the the three dots menu in the top right corner
- Select “Open chat details”
- Click the gear icon next to the desired individual's name
- Select “Make admin”
Assigning a group chat admin on the mobile App:
- Click into the group chat
- Click the info in the top right corner
- Select the desired individual's name
- Select “Make admin”
We recommend appointing more than one chat admin to a group chat. If there is only one chat admin and that person leaves the company, the chat cannot be managed.
